This website is powered by Wordpress, one of the most popular blog engines. Wordpress was introduced a few years ago and now runs tens of thousands of websites. Well today we upgraded from Wordpress 2.3.2 to Wordpress 2.7.1, which is the latest version. Readers probably won’t notice any difference at this time.
Well also use the plug-in NextGenGallery to power the photo galleries. This was also upgraded from V0.74 to V1.2.1 so it is possible that the galleries may change a little but probably nothing anyone will notice.
So why bother upgrading? For one thing it will allow us to add additional features and functions at some future date. Plus you have to keep moving forward if you don’t want to get left behind.
