A few days ago Aya came by to visit and we went over to the top of Petrin hill for some photos in the rose garden. There is a big telescope and observatory at the top of the hill. That is also the hill with the miniature Eiffel tower. For our purposes, i.e. fashion photoshoots, there is a lovely rose garden with nicely manicured paths and well-tended flower garden. There are also old stone walls that make a great background.
To get to the rose garden you ride up the funicular which gives a great view of the city. So we bought our tickets and rode up to the top. (See the picture of Aya riding the funicular.) Funiculars are always a fun ride and I when I travel I never pass up the opportunity to ride up to the top of the local peak.
For the photoshoot, Aya wore a green sweater and tan pants. She also had kind of a beige scarf for a slightly different look. It is always good to bring some extra tops, a scarf, a sweater, or jacket, something that can change your look. That way the pictures don’t become too boring. We can change the background and the photographer can change the lighting, but it helps to change the model’s look as well. Always bring some hair scrungies so you can make a ponytail. A girl can keep things more exciting by changing her look.
