Anna Larina has been a regular visitor here the past few weeks. She shows a strong interest in clothing, fashion styling and all kinds of modeling. So at the end of the day we headed down to to the river to see if we could get some nice sunset shots. Sometimes I like to try to get dramatic shots with the sky in the background. Lately in most of my pictures the sky has been completely washed out which is kind of boring.
As we were heading there the wind picked up like a storm was coming through. Anna explained that the wind doesn’t really blow, it sucks. Uh-huh. Anna is kind of scientific minded. It was a bit chilly so as you can see in the photo Anna spent most of the time wrapped up in her sweater jacket thing and trying to use me as a windbreak.
For the actual shoot, Anna had on a short white sundress, sleeveless with small straps. I set up my lights and we waited a while for the sun to get just a bit lower in the sky. The swans came by and we were impressed by their gracefulness. Next time we will have to bring some breadcrumbs or something to feed them. The impending foul weather brought in some pretty interesting cloud formations. We were able to get some pretty decent dramatic shots, I think, with clouds, sun and sky in the background. We didn’t stay all the way until sunset.
All you have to remember is the wind doesn’t blow, it sucks.
