Here is an update on the Miss California USA story. Carrie Prejean was stripped of her Miss California title for contractual violations. Pageant officials said that she did not participate in pageant-related events.
During the nationally-televised Miss USA pageant she was asked her views on same-sex marriage. Her answer generated a great deal of controversy. Later, some topless photos taken by photographer Dominic Petruzzi surfaced that were clearly intended to embarrass Miss Prejean.
Donald Trump, the owner of Miss USA had no problem with her views on same-sex marriage or the photos. At that time, Trump allowed her to keep her crown. But K2 Productions, which operates Miss California pageant, said that she was not cooperating with the production. Private e-mail has surfaced showing a bitter exchange between Prejean and Keith Lewis of K2 Productions.
First runner-up Tami Farrel will replace Prejean as Miss California USA. The story was originally reported by Fox News.
