What We Look For in Models
Many girls have expressed interest in modeling for Laguna Beach Bikini magazine. You may be wondering what we look for in our models. Here is the lowdown.
When a new model comes in for a casting, there are two aspects that we must evaluate. The first is physical appearance. The second is attitude.
Age Range
As for physical appearance, we are looking for young, healthy and fit models. These qualities should evident in your appearance. The target age range is about 15 to 25. If you are a little older or younger, it is more important how old you look rather than your actual calendar age.
Physical Qualities
Your hair should be healthy and shiny. Your eyes should be clear and bright. Skin should be clear. Face free of blemishes because we don’t like to re-touch the photos. Skin on the rest of the body should be smooth and clear as well. Nails should be nice and clean. There is no height or weight requirement, but weight should be proportional to height as fitness dictates. Your body should be toned and you must look good in a bikini.
What about pretty or beautiful? If you are a young, healthy and fit girl you are beautiful. Any questions?
Attitude is Everything
As for attitude, we are looking for friendly, cooperative and creative models that are easy to work with. Friendly and cooperative people are preferred as coworkers. Sometimes modeling can be not so pleasant. On a long day of modeling you may be cold or tired. Buck up. No whining allowed!
You must have an interest in fashion because often you must supply your own wardrobe. Our street fashion photography shows what real girls around the world are wearing on the street today–what girls like you actually wear in real life.
You also must be able to do your own makeup, because we don’t have a full-time makeup artist traveling with us. So you must show some creativity in both wardrobe and makeup. The photography is all about you and your style.
