If you are in Buenos Aires for a couple of days, don’t miss the Buenos Aires Tour Bus. It is one of those hop-on, hop-off tour buses that is common in many large cities. Now in most cities, a ticket for a tour bus runs about 20 Euros per day. The great thing about the Buenos Aires Bus is that it is a bargain at only 25 pesos. At current exchange rates that is less than 5 Euros!
Here is a tip: Purchase a 2-day pass for just 10 pesos more, 35 pesos. There are enough places to see along the bus route that easily will take up two days.
The lower level of the bus is enclosed. The upper level is open air. When the weather is pleasant, the open-air top is the best choice.

Each seat has a pair of headphones to listen to the recorded audio guide which describe the city’s landmarks and historical buildings. You can choose from ten different languages including English, Spanish, Portugese, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and Hebrew.
The bus starts at Florida and Diagonal Norte. You can purchase tickets at the big Tourist Information kiosk. You can also buy a ticket on the bus if you get on at any of the bus’s 12 stops. They give you a small map when you board the bus.
The first bus leaves at 9am. I would advise getting to the bus stop early because there is usually a line up. On the weekend, take the bus to La Boca and get off there. There is a market, restaurants and other activities there. La Boca is a colorful working-class neighborhood in Buenos Aires, south of downtown.
Another good destination is the Ecological Reserve. Get off the bus there and go bird watching.
The Buenos Aires Bus is one of the best tour bus bargains in the world. Don’t miss it.
