Argentina is famous for beef, but it is not the only good food you can find in Buenos Aires. The pizza is some of the best in the world. This makes sense because Argentine cows produce milk and cream which are turned into some of the best mozzarella cheese.

A wonderful pizza restaurant in Buenos Aires is El Palacio de la Pizza on Avenida Corrientes. I eat lunch at this restuarant every week when I visit Buenos Aires. It has a convenient location in the micro center just a few blocks from the Obelisco.

Inside the restaurant there is a long service bar and an old, elegant dining room with tile floors. You either order self service and eat standing up, or sit down an order from the waiter.

You can order a whole pizza or by the individual portion or slice. A slice of mozzarella pizza is 3.50 pesos. This is less than one U.S. dollar. Prices for a slice is from 3.50 to 6.50 pesos. A bottle of Cocoa-Cola is 6 or 7 pesos.

I recommend sitting at a table a getting service. The waiters are all dressed in formal white jackets and provide good service. Very classy. Don’t forget to leave a couple of pesos as a tip for the waiter.

The final verdict: When you visit Buenos Aires try to stop in for a meal at El Palacio de la Pizza. You’ll find world-class pizza, some of the best on the world, in Buenos Aires at El Palacio de la Pizza for a very reasonable price.
