What is Lightroom?
This is your digital darkroom. Use Lightroom to acquire, edit, adjust, distribute, backup, print and publish your photographs from your digital camera–especially if you are shooting in a RAW camera format.
How is Lightroom Different from Photoshop?
Photoshop is essentially a digital painting program. If you are doing pixel level manipulations, making composites, HDR images or any other complex image processing you need Photoshop. But for most photographers, Lightroom can handle the bulk of the work. Lightroom is optimized for photographers that need to process thousands of images.
