While visiting Laguna Beach, California, I spotted this lovely, storybook home with shutters and a bay window. There was a beautiful front garden. It was late in the afternoon on a fall day and the light was quite beautiful. I thought it was all quite picturesque. Fortunately I had my camera with me, so I snapped a few pictures–a couple vertical and a couple horizontal. How many times have you seen something that would make a wonderful picture, but your camera was back home? A photographer should always have a camera nearby.

Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach is one of the California beach cities between Los Angeles and San Diego. During the 1920’s it was famous as an artist colony with many “plein-air” or outdoor painters living there, drawn to the incredible vistas and beautiful scenic beaches. Even today you will see artists painting a landscape in oil or acrylic in Heisler Park.
