At LBB magazine we don’t often write about economics, but this economic crisis and recession has effected just about every business in the country included ours. During economic downturns, businesses traditionally cut expenses by laying off workers. Companies also spend less money on advertising, so that effect ripples through to magazine publishing.

It looks like the only place that has been spared is the farm belt in the middle of the country: North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and Nebraska.
To get through this recession, we may have to move to Nebraska and change the our name from Laguna Beach Bikini to Nebraska Farm Report & Overalls. Instead of advertising swimwear and bikinis, we’ll feature models wearing Carhartt work clothes.
