Tis the season for Christmas shopping. A smiling Aljona was photographed while shopping at a fashion mall in Prague, Czech Republic. She has on a double-breasted black overcoat with a wide belt over a big purple sweater, and black trousers. You have to dress warm in Prague in December.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
[9] And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
[10] And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
[11] For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
[12] And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
[13] And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
[14] Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
–Linus, A Charlie Brown Christmas
Linus explains what Christmas is all about in this classic scene from A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Charles Schultz: A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS
Charlie Brown: We’re back.
Violet: Boy are you stupid, Charlie Brown
Girl: What kind of a tree is that?
Lucy: You were supposed to get a good tree. Can’t you even tell a good tree from a poor tree?
Violet: I told you he’d goof it up. He’s not the kind you can depend on to do anything right.
Freda: You’re hopeless, Charlie Brown, completely hopeless.
Charlie Brown: Rats
Lucy: You’ve been dumb before, Charlie Brown, but this time you really did it.
Group: HA HA HA HA HA HA. What a tree! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Charlie Brown: I guess you were right, Linus. I shouldn’t have picked this little tree. Everything I do turns into a disaster.
Charlie Brown: I guess I really don’t know what Christmas is all about.
Charlie Brown: (shouting) Isn’t there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?
Linus: Sure, Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about.
(walks to center stage)
Linus: Lights, please.

Linus: That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.
