Karline hiked up to the top of the Hollywood Hills to get a view of the famous Hollywood Sign. She was wearing this short jumper dress.
The Hollywood Sign is a famous landmark on Mount Lee in Los Angeles. The letters are 45 feet tall. The sign, dating from 1923, originally said “Hollywoodland” to advertise real estate on the other side of the hill.
In 2006, there was a movie called Hollywoodland about the suspicious death of actor George Reeves who played Superman on television. It starred Ben Affleck, Dianne Lane and Adrian Brody.
Faster than a speeding bullet…
More powerful than a locomotive…
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound…
Look, up in the sky
It’s a bird, it’s a plane
It’s… Superman
Which brings us to today’s youtube clip. The opening credits for The Adventures of Superman starring George Reeves as Superman.

Narrator:
Yes, it’s Superman, strange visitor from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman, who can change the coursed of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way.
And now, another exciting episode in The Adventures of Superman…
