Bettie teases in her short silver mini dress, white thigh-high stockings and black patent leather 6-inch heels. Doesn’t our model bear a some resemblance to the notorious Bettie Page?
The Notorious Bettie Page
The original Betty Page was the quintessential 1950s pinup model. She was a popular camera club model in New York City in the late 1940s and in 1951 she appeared in men’s magazines Titter, Eyefull and Beauty Parade. From 1952 to 1957 she posed for photographer Irving Klaw who also made short 8mm movies featuring Betty. She was one of Playboy magazine’s first playmates.
Today’s film clip features Betty Page from a classic burlesque movie titled Tease-o-rama. You can see her dancing and gyrating, smiling and winking for the camera. Can you imagine that back in 1955 this movie was considered scandalous!
