The Cheap Leis from Hawaii

While the rest of the U.S. sees freezing weather, a few places have been lucky to avoid the chilly winter winds. One U.S. state that springs to mind is Hawaii. But on the mainland, one city that has weather as nice as Hawaii is sunny San Diego.
Here is a scene on the campus of SDSU. This student takes a break between classes. Our model is wearing jeans and a long-sleeve hoodie, and carries a large black-leather shoulder bag. She is majoring in Asian studies. How about some Hawaiian music?
Today’s youtube music video is the classic Hawaiian song On The Beach at Waikiki performed live by sensational Hawaiian band The Cheap Leis. Visit the Cheap Leis on myspace.com for some more great Hawaiian music. Great stuff!

Sweet brown maiden said to me
As she gave me language lessons
On the beach at Waikiki

She repeated playfully
Oh those lips were so inviting
On the beach at Waikiki

She then said and smiled in glee
But she would not translate for me
On the beach at Waikiki

She was surely teasing me
So I caught that maid and kissed her
On the beach at Waikiki

You have learned it perfectly
Don’t forget what I have taught you
