Rise of the Silver Surfer was the Fantastic Four movie from the summer of 2007. This is a really cool action movie from that summer starring Jessica Alba as Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch.
The Silver Surfer is a superhero from Marvell Comics. He first appeared in 1966 in a Fantastic Four comic book. His real name was Norrin Radd, who was an astonomer from the planet Zenn-La.
Norrin Radd gained super powers from Galactus in return for sparing his home planet. This turned him into The Silver Surfer. He traveled around the universe on a silver surfboard in the service of Galactus.
When he came to planet Earth, he ran into the Fantastic Four. The FF taught the Silver Surfer about being a noble surfer and a good superhero. They taught him all about the comic book business and introduced him to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Later on, the Silver Surfer got his own Marvel comic book.
