Pretty in Pink was a 1986 John Hughes movie starring Molly Ringwald as Andie Walsh, Jon Cryer as Duckie and Annie Potts as Iona. Other cast members included James Spader as Steff and Andrew Dice Clay as Dice-man the Bouncer.
The director, John Hughes, wrote the screenplay for Pretty In Pink and numerous other hit movies from the 1980s and 1990s including Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club with actress Molly Ringwald. Hughes was well known for accurately portraying middle class high-school teenage life in America. Sadly John Hughes passed away in 2009.
