The Deutche Bahn train from Berlin to Prague takes a scenic route along the Elbe River. It is good to ride during the day so you can view the scenery. The route goes through Dresden, Germany and then crosses into Czeck Republic at Decin.
The route follows the Elbe River for much of the way. In the Czech Republic, The Elbe River is known as the Labe. The Labe is fed by the Vltava River, which passes through scenic Prague.
The traveler will find plenty of photo opportunities along the way. There are small towns with church spires and colorful small buildings. There are forests, woodlands and mountains with natural rock formations.

Trains are the best way to travel Europe. They are fast, comfortable and, unlike airplanes which must land at airports many kilometers outside of the city, trains normally bring you right into the city center.
