FRANKFURT–Demonstrators have been granted permission to hold a rally on Saturday, 19th May in downtown Frankfurt.
The demonstrators are protesting what they perceive as “crisis dictatorship” of the “troika”, i.e. the EU Commission, The European Central Bank (ECB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The demonstration will begin at 12:05 PM (Central European Time) with an opening rally at Baseler Platz, near the Hauptbahnhof (Main Rail Station). The demonstrators plan to circle the Frankfurt city center and march to Deutches Bank headquarters. Then they will split into two lines to circle the Frankfurt financial district and meet at the ECB headquarters. The closing rally is planned for 5:00 PM CET in front of the European Central Bank headquarters building at Kaiserstraße 29 60311 Frankfurt, Germany.
Speakers are planned from numerous and diverse groups. The conclusion will be a concert by Iries Révoltés, a Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Ska, Punkband from Heidelberg.
