The Cathedral of Saint Sava (Serbian: Храм светог Саве ) in Belgrade is the largest Orthodox church in the Balkans.
Saint Sava (born c. 1169 A.D.) is the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. He was the youngest son of the Grand Prince Stefan Nemanja, an early ruler of Serbia. He later joined a monastery, became a monk and took the name Sava.
