Today’s youtube is the original Suzy Q by singer and Dale Hawkins. Dale is from Louisiana. His song was #57 on the charts in 1957.

Suzie Q was also a big hit for Creedence Clearwater Revival, a.k.a. CCR, a few years later in 1968. This was during the psychedelic 1960s. John Fogerty is the singer on this song from their first album.
